Illustrations

These illustrations from my hardcover illustrated cookbook, Flavors of Festivity, were created with Adobe Illustrator. Showcasing over twenty of my favorite recipes, the book has five sections where I enjoyed experimenting with patterns, textures, and perspectives.
I created this series of illustrations to document happy moments from the start of my Summer 2024 break, like catching a sunset in the parking lot, seeing baby birds, and making tiramisu. Using Adobe Fresco, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone by working solely in black and white, focusing on line weight and various patterns to add interest.

This is a USA landmarks stamp set I created in Adobe Illustrator. To maintain consistency, all buildings are vertical with similar layouts. Each color is state-inspired, such as green for Seattle's greenery and yellow for New York's taxis. For simplicity and to suit the smaller size, I used recognizable silhouettes and line art to capture details.
I created these works while first learning Adobe Fresco, aiming to practice realism in each drawing. Using reference images, I chose watercolor and acrylic brushes to explore lighting and shadows, enhancing my understanding of these crucial elements.

This hybrid self-portrait, created in Adobe Illustrator in Fall 2023, is an exploration for my My Fav Things book project. It focuses on two sides of my identity, using a warmer color palette on one side and a cooler palette on the other. The right side depicts me celebrating Diwali, highlighted by traditional dress and jewelry.

I love doodling, which is when I created "Octapunch," an octopus with that looks ready for a fight. Carving the tentacle curls and perfecting the ink stamping technique were challenging but rewarding. My final piece, with alternating white-on-black and black-on-white prints, aimed to highlight the pattern over the octopus itself, achieving a cohesive and visually interesting result.
